Transparent LED Mesh Screen

13 Oct, 2026
The WD Series Mesh Screen is a large-pixel-pitch transparent screen designed specifically for outdoor long-distance viewing. Pixel pitch ranges from P15 to P50, module size is 1000×2000mm, protection rating is IP65, and power consumption is extremely low. It is the preferred choice for building facades, landmark lighting, and stadium exterior walls.

01.Can the mesh screen be installed outdoors where it is exposed to wind and rain?

Yes. The WD Series has an IP65 protection rating, providing dustproof and water-spray-resistant performance. It is designed specifically for outdoor environments and is suitable for long-term outdoor installation on building facades, towers, stadiums, and more.

02.Is the mesh screen especially energy-efficient?

Yes, it is very energy-efficient. The WD Series peak power consumption drops from 200W/m² for P15 all the way down to 25W/m² for P50. The larger the pixel pitch, the lower the power consumption. For large-area outdoor building lighting, the long-term electricity cost pressure is very low.

03.How large is one mesh screen module?

A single module measures 1000×2000mm (1 meter wide × 2 meters high). It is a large-size mesh unit suitable for quickly assembling large-area facades.

04.Why are the pixel pitches of the mesh screen so large (starting from P15)?

Because the mesh screen is mainly viewed by long-distance audiences. The WD Series pixel pitch ranges from 15–50mm, with optimal viewing distances from ≥15m (P15) to ≥50m (P50). It is suitable for building media facades viewed from across the street, squares, or distant high-rises. When viewed up close, it appears sparse — this is determined by its design positioning.

05.If a building facade is about 30 meters from the road, which pixel pitch should I choose?

Match according to optimal viewing distance: P15 ≥15m, P20 ≥20m, P25 ≥25m, P30 ≥30m, P50 ≥50m. For a distance of about 30 meters from the road, it is recommended to choose P30, which exactly corresponds to the optimal viewing distance of ≥30m. If you want denser content, you can choose P25.

06.Is the mesh screen suitable for playing video, or only for lighting up outlines?

Both are possible. However, because of its large pixel pitch and suitability for long-distance viewing, it is more commonly used for Logo animations, brand color blocks, simple videos, and lighting rhythms. The farther you stand, the more coherent the image becomes. It is a common solution for building video media.

07.Is the mesh screen wind-permeable? Is it safe in strong winds?

The mesh structure is hollow, inherently transparent, and has low wind resistance. Combined with IP65 protection, it is more wind-resistant than solid screens, making it suitable for high-rise facades in strong wind conditions.

08. Is the refresh rate of the mesh screen sufficient for video shooting?

The WD Series has a refresh rate of ≥1920Hz, which can meet conventional camera and shooting needs. It is basically no problem for daily media playback and TV shooting. Compared with 3840Hz high-refresh models, its performance is slightly weaker in high-speed slow-motion shooting.

09.How does the mesh screen look from the side?

The WD Series has a 140° viewing angle, which is a standard wide viewing angle. Content remains visible from a certain side angle, making it suitable for viewing needs around buildings.

10.Besides pixel pitch, what else is different between P50 and P15?

P15 has a peak power consumption of 200W/m² and an optimal viewing distance of ≥15m; P50 has a peak power consumption of only 25W/m² and an optimal viewing distance of ≥50m. P50 is more energy-efficient, more transparent, and more suitable for ultra-long-distance, large-volume buildings, but its image grain is coarser and it is only suitable for extremely long distances.

11.Can mesh screens and film screens be used together?

They have different positioning. Film screens (not outdoor-rated, more for indoor curtain walls) are transparent and lightweight, suitable for medium-to-close-distance daylighting scenarios. Mesh screens are IP65 and designed specifically for outdoor long-distance viewing. Generally, choose mesh screens for outdoor building facades and film screens for indoor glass curtain walls. It is not recommended to mix them on the same outdoor rain-exposed surface.

12.Which outdoor mesh screen model can be seen clearly from the farthest distance?

The farthest in the WD Series is P50, with an optimal viewing distance of ≥50m. Combined with 1000×2000mm large module splicing, it is suitable for media facades of super high-rises and large landmark buildings that can be seen from very far away.
